As we near the end of this unique campaign season, I've come to realize that my run for mayor this year really started 6 years ago in 2014. I can't help but compare that campaign, during those times, to the experience of running for an election in 2020. This year our circumstances are all so different. But there is still so very much that remains the same.
I am truly blessed to have so many people to thank for their support and dedication throughout the primary and general elections. Many are the same folks who supported me during my first mayoral campaign in 2014. Although Covid-19 has caused this year's campaign to stand in stark contrast to the events and forums in which we were able to participate back then, I think we've all made the best of an uncommon situation.
